About Us
Woodhouse Academy is a private day school designed to meet the needs of adolescents (Grades 8-12) with average and above intelligence who are challenged by learning differences. They are youngsters who have experienced failure and difficulties in other school settings. Their learning and social skill challenges interfere with successful school experiences and healthy development.
Our dedicated staff is focused on helping students develop effective thinking and learning skills, strategies, and the self understanding they will need for academic success, lifelong learning and self advocacy.

Students
The Woodhouse program is designed for adolescents who experience: attention and organization challenges; academic engagement and motivation issues; learning differences; difficulty understanding and forming social relationships; low self-esteem/confidence; anxiety; depression; and/or behaviors related to specific disorders (Aspergers, OCD, PDD, Tourettes, School Phobia, Social Anxiety). Frequently these problems have created conditions that interfere with the student's availability for learning and adversely impact educational performance.
The Academy is not designed for youngsters who are aggressive, violent, or sexuallyinappropriate.
